Summer 2019 Housing Information for UAdvantage
The summer residence hall for UAdvantage 2019 has not yet been declared. No roommate requests for UAdvantage will be accepted, as we want students to work on growing community and meet new people. You will receive your tentative assignment in your pre-program communication emails, however, please be aware that due to last minute cancellations there is occasionally a change in roommate assignments. You will be notified of such changes during in-person check-in for UAdvantage.
The Residence Hall will be staffed with Resident Assistants and a Community Director who are here to assist students with the transition to college, living on campus, as well as for the safety and well-being of the program community. Resident Assistants will also develop programs in the residence halls to help students meet each other and acclimate to life in a residence hall.
As a reminder, all residents are expected to abide by the UA Student Code of Conduct and Housing and Residental Life's Policies and Procedures for Hall Living. If a student leaves the program or is removed, they will be asked to vacate their summer residence hall and they will not receive a refund for the program, tuition or housing costs.
The move-in for summer 2019 will be on Monday, July 22nd between 8:00am and 3:00pm. In their pre-program communication emails, participants will be assigned a designated move-in window to help ease the flow of traffic, decrease lines and ensure safety during this process. Please be sure to plan your move during your designated move-in window. Students will also be provided a map and directions for move-in. Please take the time to review these documents in the pre-program communication emails and let us know if you have any questions.
The move-out date for summer 2019 will be on Wednesday, August 14th between 8:00am and 4:00pm. If a student is planning to live on-campus, in a University of Arizona residence hall during the academic school year, the UAdvantage Program will move the student to that residence hall on move-out day. During this time, participants will be given a designated window to streamline the move-out process. Moving bins, moving trucks, and the UAdvantage staff will all be utilized to ensure the student participants have a safe and easy move to their new home.
Mail During the Program
Because we are a summer program, student participant's mail should not be directed to the residence hall. Students should have any mail sent to them during the program sent to the New Student Experiences office where it can be distributed to them in a timely manner. It should be addressed as follows:
