The UAdvantage First Year Experience is not only a summer program - it is a full experience during your freshmen year. The UAdvantage Peer Advisors are your go-to for finding support and community on the UA campus. UAdvantage Peer Advisors meet regularly with their students to check-in, learn about their experiences, help them navigate the UA systems, and host fun monthly socials.

As a freshman, Izak participated in UAdvantage's peer program, New Start, and now is in his second year as a UAdvantage Peer Advisor. Izak is an honors student studying Physiology and has a minor in Spanish. Izak’s favorite place on campus is the Rec and he’s there almost daily. When Izak isn’t in the office or working out, he is involved in Camp Wildcat, MexZona and the Air Force ROTC.
Caite is a second year UAdvantage Peer Advisor and an alumna of UAdvantage’s peer program, New Start. Caite is studying Natural Resources with an emphasis in Fisheries Management and Conservation. If Caite isn’t in class you can find her in the UAdvantage office space, probably drinking some coffee. Some fun facts about Caite are that she loves photography and she hates avocados.
Patrick was born in the small town of Bisbee, Az and is expecting to graduate this May with a BS in Literacy, Learning, & Leadership Studies, with a minor in Military Science and Leadership. During his undergraduate experience, he has done two years of Air Force ROTC and he was co-leader for Project Sunshine's UA Chapter. In his free time, Patrick likes going to the movies, exercising, and walking his dog, Louie.
Helena is a Tucson native and a UA sophomore. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, along with a Bachelor of Science in Literacy, Learning, and Leadership, with an ACE minor as well. She hopes to fulfill her academic career by attending graduate school in the future. On campus, Helena is involved in the Psi Chi Honorary, as well as the National Society for Collegiate Scholars. Off campus, she spends time at local dance studios, concerts, and cooking with her family. She loves calling Tucson her home and is a proud Wildcat!
Mackenzie is an Arizona native who grew up in the greater Phoenix area. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Public Management and Policy with a minor in Public Health. When she’s not in the UAdvantage office or class, Mackenzie is involved in ASUA VolunteerUA, Phi Beta Chi national sorority, interning with Tucson community organizations or working on homework at a local coffee shop. Mackenzie’s favorite thing about living in Tucson is the overwhelming Wildcat spirit, all of the delicious Mexican food, and the amazing Arizona sunshine.
